In continuation of my previous post, I had the opportunity to meet Vitalik Buterin in 2015, the founder of Ethereum. At the hackerDojo in Silicon Valley, around that time, many of my colleagues, including professors in Computer Science, exchanged bewildered glances during Vitalik's presentation. He offered 1 Ethereum for less than a dollar back then. Regrettably, none of us present at the session, to my knowledge, purchased any Ethereum. The reality was that Ethereum lacked utility at the time, with no tangible exchange value. It seemed more of a speculative venture than a prudent investment decision. It wasn't until years later, when utility grew and the market matured, that involvement in Ethereum became sensible.
It is important to keep on top of emerging technologies and be able to add/remove from personal/corporate folios to keep in control moving forwards. Technologies can diverge and technologies can go out of date. Embracing too many at once can tie down development and all vendors are constantly playing the catch up game too. Embracing too few risks falling behind so a balanced/planned approach is a good idea in all settings.

we should ask the question do we really have requirements or necessities to improve the current web application with blockchain, because blockchain is a decentralised distributed peer to peer network that opens space for new type of applications called decentralised applications or dapps, since it’s decentralised we generally should not include blockchain into a traditional centralised application if we are creating that kind because it doesn’t make sense because the dapp should be decentralised otherwise we are violating the core principle of blockchain. Wherever we have centralisation or middle man we can replace that using blockchain or in other words wherever we need open immutable trust-less environment we can use blockchain.
