If they are poisoning the environment then be prepared to open a private discussion with them so that others don't have their learning disrupted. Don't challenge, be curious. Don't take negativity as a personal attack, with skill and sensitivity you can defuse it.

In my experience they are less likely to want to provide written feedback but comments are far more useful than ratings so put the emphasis on that. You might have the possibility to ask them privately whether it was relevant to their needs or for ideas about what they were expecting. Setting expectations is usually done with somebody in a management position and they might not have understood the needs of their workforce. On the other hand, it could just be somebody taking their frustrations out on you. Again, don't take it as a personal attack and thank them for their feedback. Even if it seems negative you can still thank them for their honesty.
