Ensure to clearly understand the primary data collection processes, steps and operations for each data source. Browse and describe each data source to assess inconsistencies, missingness, errors etc. Data cleaning & validation and transformation and merge if necessary. Then analyse, interpret share findings to those that needs to know.

Unfortunately there's no shortcut to this. Data triangulation is a meticulous and laborious process that must be carried out with care. For example, during my Ebola virus disease research, I had to find patients across two hospital databases and merge them. It took me multiple days to get done but it was all worth the effort in the end.

Researchers should always assure the validity of research findings when the method allows for data retrieved from multiple source. It is a tedious task in most cases and requires manual steps and work in most cases. I have not completed a single study where i did not have to triangulate data (not one had one single data source). It has always provided me with deeper insight of the data and study.
