In my experience less is more when it comes to slide words, graphics and presentation tools. Simple slides that are not busy help to keep the audience engaged. Too much information on a slide instantly switches off an audience, save the details for your slide notes which are separate to you and are used to add the “meat to the bones” when you speak!

Firstly identify your audience, based on the trends; use the references, jargons, slangs that are used by the audience, whom you are catering to. Include concise and short points so there is lot more to speak then reading.

In my opinion,one should opt for readable fonts and high-contrast colors to enhance accessibility. This accommodates different and diverse audience needs, including those with visual impairments, ensuring everyone can easily engage with your presentation.

The writing shall be clean, simple and easily readable. If the fonts or colours are fancy, it doesn’t offer any additional advantages rather it distracts the reader.

Idealmente usar cores para fazer o leitor focar nas informa??es mais importantes, usando contraste.

I try to include many visuals in addition to my written points such as infographics. Videos are also used to reinforce the information. This can be followed by a physical activity for our kinesthetic learning. In virtual sessions, case studies and scenarios can also be used for kinesthetic learners who appreciate real world application. Discussions can be integrated throughout the session to ensure audio learners effectively engage with the material. Ensuring participants have access to post session hand outs, videos and activities, helps to consolidate the information in a multifaceted way.

From my experience, I believe presentations should have simple language & well understood by people when you convey the content by including numbers, stats and visuals with a last section for questions and feedback.

I love multi-medium approaches to presentations. What you present live can be a little different than what you have available afterwards. It’s important to remember that everyone learns differently - some do well with written materials, others like to review your deck and outline, and others will benefit from watching back the recording. Your slides or visual themselves don’t only need to be accessible, but how you offer your knowledge afterwards.
