Estimating the delivery of any project is a challenge and it can only be easier if the milestones are set well, the teams have enough expertise to foresee the shortcomings and solution times in addition to the well management of the team's time schedules. Any of those criteria above has the potential to shift the deadlines vastly. You and the related teams should be in sync with each other. A brainstorming and planning meeting at the start of any project would make everyone see what is next, what may happen, how can the team overcome the shortcomings, what would happen if one or more team members cannot contribute in the event of an emergency.
