Leverage video interview platforms like Zoom, collaboration tools such as Slack, and HRIS like BambooHR. Incorporate skill assessment tools like Codility, background screening services including Checkr, and social media for employer branding. Utilize Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools, AI recruitment tools like Textio, and employee referral software. Ensure a smooth onboarding process with tools like Click Boarding, and consider diversity and inclusion tools such as Blendoor. This diverse toolkit optimizes your recruitment process efficiently.

As a federal technical recruiter it’s important to be efficient in recruitment, by using a professional Applicant Tracking System (ATS) tailored for federal technical recruiting. In addition leverage job boards, like LinkedIn Recruiter and social media platforms to attract diverse pool of talented candidates.

ATS not only simplifies the recruiting process, but also improves the quality of hires by providing tools for more informed decision making and efficient candidate management. I've been working with many ATS tools, and this is my experience: 1. Time Efficiency: Automates many repetitive tasks such as posting jobs, reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews. 2. Error Reduction: Automating tasks avoids omissions and ensures that the correct steps are followed at each stage of the hiring process. 3. Optimization of Hiring Decisions: ATSs enable recruiting teams to track candidate performance in detail over time. This facilitates informed decision making when selecting the most suitable candidates for a specific position.

A good ATS is a shortcut to sucess. When you have all phases of a recruitment process into a ATS it's helps a lot the team not even to find the best talent but also to manage the database in a best way.

Assessement platforms are important but dangerous at the same time. Technical, situational and even the behavorial are part of the information about the candidate and not the "mandatory information". There are always missing information that can have a big impact on the tests. Personal for example. From my point of view, assessment platforms are important as a source of information and not as a "elimination" source.

With the entrance of AI in this field, assessment has become much more effective, not just to cover the field of evaluation, but also to include characteristic and emotional evaluation.

I believe that the assessment of certain soft skills critical to the role could be more effectively carried out through individual interviews with the manager of the team the candidate would be joining. These interviews would allow for a specific assessment of the actions the candidate would take in specific situations that arise in day-to-day operations. In addition, they would provide the opportunity to hear in detail the candidate's experiences in day-to-day situations. By relying exclusively on assessment tools, we run the risk of overlooking the human dimension of the assessment, which I believe is essential in this process.

In addition it’s useful to manage campaigns across various channels, like social media platforms to attract and engage potential talented diverse candidates.

It is essential to implement effective strategies to promote the vacant position we currently manage, making use of various tools and social media platforms. Likewise, it is crucial to highlight the image of our organization through the detailed information that we incorporate in such promotion. This initiative not only helps to attract qualified candidates, but also strengthens the company's presence and reputation in the labor market

Let's talk about risks. It's crucial to be mindful of potential risks with CRM platforms. Mismanagement can result in privacy concerns and a negative candidate experience. Improper segmentation or communication may lead to candidates feeling overwhelmed with irrelevant information, harming the relationship. Overreliance on analytics without a human touch can depersonalize the process. Ensuring proper team training, aligning with ethical recruitment practices, and prioritizing candidate experience are essential steps to mitigate these risks and maximize the effectiveness of CRM tools like Lever, Greenhouse, or JazzHR in employee recruitment.

CRM platforms tools are great for optimizing recruitment processes, enhance communication with candidates, and strategically managing talent pools for long-term success in the hiring process and helps maintain a pipeline of your candidates and recruiting needs.

It is crucial to centralize and organize candidate information. It enables efficient tracking, improves candidate experience, optimizes decision making, facilitates segmentation and analysis, fosters collaborative communication and manages long-term relationships with potential talent.

Depends on the area (or not) but building a good relationship with the candidates is crucial in recruitment. In IT is more than crucial. IT business is very dynamic when the candidate is not available today, he/she could be tomorrow. Follow up is part of this process.

We can screen and screen and some stuff just can’t be identified by computers. That means though we have moved a far way from in person applications and and looking people in the eye, let’s not devalue the importance of gut feelings, sturdy handshakes, street smarts, products of under privileged communities… remember to treat every person with respect.
