So I had to this for one of the companies I worked for, they were on a particular proprietary technology stack and wanted to move out of it. So I looked into the existing landscape of applications they had. Did my research and prepared couple of options for the transformation of whole suite of applications, listen them down with a comparative study considering various dimensions such as cost of adoption, recurring costs, learning curve, documentation quality, community support etc. Then had a meeting with the team of devs and architects presenting the various options. Asked them for opinions. Collected those, prepared another matrix answering all the questions. Had a follow up meeting. Developed the broader consensus and chose the option.
