Practice using relevant software tools and programming languages commonly used in electrical engineering, such as MATLAB, Python, and CAD software.Network with professionals in the field, including professors, industry experts, alumni, and peers. Join professional organizations like the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and attend networking events to connect with others in the field, share ideas, and explore career opportunities.

As noted, it is vital to seek out projects that offer hands-on experience with electrical components, circuits, and systems.
