Many time functions on ground are deemed less ?valuable“ and less glorious than flying functions. However, each function has its merits and necessity and airlines only work properly if all of these functions work together as a well-oiled machine. None of these functions, in the air, on the ground, in management, at outstations, is able to stand alone and nobody works in isolation. Due to the nature of our industry the level of integration is very high and maybe higher than in other industries. This is also a result of our focus on safety, which is another example of teamwork required to achieve a common goal.

Additionally, I would say either you are working for airlines or you are a professional of the aviation department the most important factor is that being a leader you shall pay attention for the safe and efficient conduct of flights as the top most priority. Even minor error is not permissible in the Operational nature of duties, otherwise it would cost in heavy losses of lives.

Even though, all participants need to understand that any project also carries the inherent risk of failure, which in turn is a potential learning curve.
