Doing a good architecture for protecting the system is crucial, where we have to consider some things like OT and IT security, for the first one, its completely necessary to do by using brands which guarantee that follow the international rules, as could be #Siemens, #ABB, among others, those devices must complete with regulations and give you a extra security layer, also it uses firewall, VPN can help, on the other hand for IT, you need to consider other things as what kind of portal the user use, something like #TIA_Portal or web pages, based on this, you need to do things like OWASP recommendations, or having the last versions of libraries, additionally for having a good security I also suggest to have Role based system to protect info

One thing I have found it helpful is to ensure physical security measures are in place to protect infrastructure, such as secure access controls, surveillance systems, and secure facilities for critical hardware.
