Most practitioners, at least on paper, recognise the need to engage with stakeholders and listen to their needs and concerns. But to truly unite them behind a project you need a compelling purpose they can support. In my experience this is best told as a story rather than a bullet point slide. Think deeply about the why and not just the what.
