In my experience working on the pipeline as a crew lead and now overseeing contractors and projects on the pipeline planning ahead keeps everything in line,safe,and prepares you for every measure of changes.Daily status updates and tailgate meetings giving/receiving feedback exponentially increases the productivity of making sure you hit deadlines.

In my experience as both an ironworker and now a foreman, it is imperative to plan accordingly. The plan can change because of a multitude of factors, but the best planners see options A, B, and C before they happen. It’s our duty to the company and our workers to have a realistic plan in place where the job can progress while everyone is prepared, safe, and knowledgeable about the day’s goals.

I have spent most of this week preparing Activity Hazard Analysis. Making a file of AHA's providing a basic plan for various jobs. They can have information added as needed to insure all hazards are covered. The basic plan is just a starting point to help get things started.

HSE & Q is an important and MUST follow/apply/comply procedure as stated in contractual obligations/safety manual during execution phase of any project OR In-operation manufacturing facilities.??♂?SAFETY??/Quality First > Quantity Next.Safety factor applies everywhere, depends on type of operational tasks. The very first thing is identify the risks & hazards involved in/on the project/work place. Communicate effectively with working crews by conducting tool box talk/showing video clips, how safe work should be carried out during self working. Make sure all crew members are holding valid safety tickets and are working safely/rightly by wearing a proper PPEs/Applicable Safety Apparatuses on work site/place. Conduct a random check for surety.

A team that is well-trained and well-practiced is well-equipped to conduct work activities in a safe manner, as well as be able to safely and efficiently navigate unexpected or unplanned situations and conditions.
