With tight deadlines, it's crucial to list all tasks and identify those that are most time-consuming. Focus on minimizing these time-consuming tasks as much as possible and prioritize them based on their importance. By handling the most critical tasks first, you ensure that the project stays on track and is delivered within the strict timeline.

An example i have seen from my client is in a tight deadlines we have to ensure the projects that are really important and a big matter for whole video, first of all you have to complete all the project before time such that there would be no pressure and client satisfaction is most important for both of us..:)

Be clear with the client, even going into technical details if necessary, without however giving the client the possibility of doubting your professionalism and correctness.

It's essential to fairly compensate and incentivise your team for their hard work. If they deliver a project in less than 7 days when it should have taken 14, it's your responsibility to reward them for the extra effort they've put in. This not only shows appreciation but also motivates them for future collaborations.

Offering incentives can be the solution to vendors in a possible schedule cut. But the offer must give the motivation without being considered a formality. Based on good cooperation and understanding.

It's crucial to remain flexible and open to feedback, especially when schedules or timelines change. There may be instances where the vendor or client encounters issues and needs to adjust the shoot or project timeline. During these times, it's important to be adaptable and prepared to work with the revised scope. It will help you in strengthening the relationship with your client.

Flexibility can be a lifesaver when dealing with a short video production schedule. However, any adjustments or new solutions proposed, if they affect the product to some extent, should be communicated with the client, so that correct decisions can be made.

it doesn't matter how many plans you have, they all might fail when things go wrong. its more important to have good suppliers who can adapt to changes. otherwise let the client know that he has to drop things to make the shorter deadline work. everything else is pure and unrelated stress.

Every single project will have at least one thing go wrong, that's the game with video production. In order to still deliver on time when your schedule gets cut short, you need to have a plan B, C & D to still deliver no matter what. It's a fast paced environment and schedule cuts aren't irregular. Stay on top of it and plan extra hard during the preproduction phase because something WILL happen.

In any project, provision for a plan B as well as a contingency plan shows proper management and planning responsibility. Experience combined with good partners can manage emergency situations successfully.
