Your team's productivity is down. What are you doing to motivate them?

In my experience the first thing we should do is to identify the root cause of team's productivity being down, else we will be shooting in the dark. Once we figure out the cause then we should focus on working towards the resolution. This will ultimately results in bring up the productivity, which will auto boost team's motivation.

In my experience, one thing that has always worked to improve the morale of the team due to productivity issues is to Communicate as much as possible and Stay Connected. This involves not only conveying information but also actively listening to team members' concerns, ideas, and feedback. By fostering open channels of communication, you create an environment where team members feel valued, heard, and supported. Regular check-ins, team meetings, and informal conversations can provide valuable insights into the team dynamics and help identify any underlying issues affecting productivity.

Some things I have found useful for enhancing the team productivity are as follows: 1. Clear goal setting using SMART framework (Goals to be Specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound) 2. Encouraging open and transparent communication of the issues being faced in the execution of the task helps in boosting the team effort 3. Skill development: Identifying the areas where the team needs various resources for enhancing relevant skills 4. Team-building activities: helps in building the bond between various team members 5. Regular feedback mechanisms; helps in course correction at the right time

In my view, even the most proficient teams can experience challenging phases unrelated to skill gaps or motivation issues. When striving for significant goals, it's normal to encounter periods that feel demanding due to what seems like slow progress. Effective management involves consistent communication, empathy, and periodic reminders of the overarching objective. In my experience, during such phases, a team event proves more effective than traditional performance pressure.

Defina as MCI's (metas crucialmente importantes), n?o podem ser mais que 3 para que seja eficiente, muitas metas causará muita confus?o e pouco resultado. Estabele?a os principais objetivos, seja realista e comemore e premie os bons resultados.
