I've found conflict resolution takes time and a cooling off period. First step is to speedily call aside the conflicted parties (before more team members notice): Acknowledge that a candid conversation will be required for resolution. Till then, taking ownership for their own behaviour, respect towards all, and prioritising team/organisational interests above self, are basic norms that must be adhered to. Constructive conversations will only happen when team members have agreed to think and own solutions, respond rationally, and objectively consider all views.

To be honest, conflicts are inevitable, but it's how we address them that matters. First, I'd bring everyone together to discuss the issues openly and honestly. Additionally, I'd provide training on effective communication and conflict resolution to help the team manage their differences constructively. As their HR, I'd also lead by example, demonstrating positive conflict management myself. Finally, I'd regularly check-in with the team to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed. By doing so, we can minimize the impact of personal conflicts and maintain high performance.

Developing trust among the team members is very important factor to build an open and transparent ecosystem. And trust is not developed overnight. It is built over a period of time & requires credible interaction with the team members .Once trust is established, it becomes easy for the team members to share openly. To develop trust, one needs to demonstrate honesty in every action which establishes credibility of the leader. One may require to do difficult conversation with the team if it requires so. In the absence of such conversations when it is needed, leader loses the credibility & respect of the team.

There's a Concept called "Group Work" in Professional Social work intervention. So have a group intervention. 1. Identify roles. e.g. opinion maker, mischief mongers, peacekeeper, leader, follower etc. Have one to one and group interactions like discussion on issue, self awareness, personal Sensitivity and try to eliminate the differences by having acceptance of individuals as an integral member of the Team. This should help, as above narrated intervention would help to crystallize perception addressing the distorted perception .

Personal conflict... perhaps something happening at home and it follows them to work: Offer the opportunity to lean on EAP resources, they are a great resource and offer multiple options to address a variety of things. Something conflicting within the team: take the time to bring people together and talk things through. A team that communicates with each other will also collaborate, and support each other. We all have an "off" day, and knowing your team is there to support you when you are off is a fantastic example of collaboration. The key is you need to lead by example. You can't expect your team to do something you won't do yourself. Chin up, you've got this!

Usually these people are those who have reached their level of mis performance and know they can't get better.
