To avoid groupthink and make better decisions instead of comprised decision: Welcome Different Ideas: Encourage everyone to share their thoughts. Challenge Ideas: Have someone question and test ideas. Use Small Groups: Discuss in smaller groups first, then share with the whole team. Get Outside Opinions: Ask for input from people outside the team. Allow Anonymous Feedback: Use anonymous suggestions to get honest opinions. Foster Open Discussion: Create an environment where it's safe to disagree and debate.

There are multiple ways by which a team can avoid group thinking and can inculcate the idea of individualistic approach for contributing: 1. Assign individual projects to the team members, so that it will create ownership and get the team going. 2. The senior leadership must promote innovation and mustn't suppress team members in the name of "feasibility". 3. The team should be composed of team members with diverse skill set and mustn't have team members with similar set of skills.

"Creating an Inclusive Environment" Having an environment that allows for all members to contribute is a start. Going forward, create an environment that doesn't outrightly discard any member'd contribution as "irrelevant", irrespective of how "outright" the contribution is!!

Rephrasing: To avoid "groupthink" one can utilise the technique of writing the same thing, in this case, the "subject for discussion or discourse" Share the "Rephrased" topic, share among small groups or each member, this will not only disallow groupthink but will also bring varying perspectives to the subject matter.
