Over the years i’ve consulted, brought in and administered Aha! into 5 companies like O2 and Mitie. The deployments varied in size but I learned a lot from them. Aha is great, wide ranging, with lots of features and flexibility. This is good if you use it but you need to dedicate a sponsor and daily power user to it to educate and champion. I find companies typically only use the feature board and some basic roadmap reporting. If that’s all you use then something like proplan, productplan, trello, craft.io etc might be better. Aha can be overwhelming too, particularly the concepts around your product hierarchy. Use Aha if you want to build strategy, capture ideas, create user story maps but it takes time and dedication.

Project management is done in the head of the leader who took this role. And the tools that are being used for this cannot substitute these skills and processes in this person. Even a text one-pager in your team knowledge database with a good description of the product roadmap does it better than any tool. Just because it's enough. ;)
