When a team member is overwhelmed with work-life balance, I understand how much of a difference empathy can make. I’ve been struggling with balance myself, especially with everything going on in my life right now. It’s tough, and sometimes just having someone show a bit of understanding can really ease the pressure. As a leader, I try to acknowledge what they’re going through, offer a listening ear, and maybe even adjust deadlines or workloads to help lighten the load. I know from my own experience that when someone shows me empathy, it goes a long way and helps me keep going. I want to be that kind of support for my team, making sure they know I genuinely care and we’ll work through it together.

We live in a competitive world, where sometimes it’s less about our choices and more about our environment. I grew up in a country with six-day school and work weeks, filled with packed days of learning and activities. Now, I’m in a place with a five-day schedule. But does that mean I lacked work-life balance back then? Not necessarily. What truly matters is finding ?????????? ??????????—feeling fulfilled and enjoying what we do without feeling drained. Work-life balance is unique to each of us; it’s about discovering what feels right. By offering support and guidance, we can help others create more fulfilling lives. Coaching, sharing stories, and leading by example can assist others in finding their own balance.
