To bridge the communication gap between AI and non-AI experts on our team, we focus on simplifying complex concepts and aligning project goals. We use visuals and real-world examples to make technical aspects accessible and hold regular cross-functional sessions where team members can ask questions and share insights. By fostering a collaborative, learning-focused environment, we ensure everyone understands the project’s impact, allowing both technical and non-technical experts to contribute effectively.

I would ensure everyone take Microsoft learn modules on Fundamental AI, this is quite basic and anyone can learn it. If everyone has an idea on what AI is all about, it will be easier to communicate with each other and have realistic expectations. And when everyone learns from the fundamental AI Modules, the communication gap would be reduced to a great extent.

The main difference in situations like these is the fact that oke group are very technical ML specialists that think (in mot cases) in terms of Mathematical algorithms, neural networks etc. and then you have the non-AI experts who may be better at domain knowledge or processes but not so technical. When coming across these situations I find that figuring out a common “language” can go a long way. Figure out how people can communicate their findings, issues, concerns in a pre-defined structured way that is understandable by everyone. This will automatically create an environment of collaboration which in turn will lead to better project outcomes!

To facilitate smooth communication between AI experts and Non AI experts in the team we must conduct cross training between employees to explains the concepts in non technical jargons of the each fields. It is also crucial to regularly check in with employees to discuss the progress and doubts to maintain a collaborative environment. Finally promote after meets to get familiar with concepts and workflows of each.

BRIDGING COMMUNICATION GAPS BETWEEN AI AND NON-AI EXPERTS I use clear, simple language to explain AI concepts, avoiding technical jargon. Ensuring everyone understands project goals and AI’s role fosters mutual comprehension. I promote collaboration through mixed teams and regular knowledge-sharing sessions. By creating an inclusive environment where questions are encouraged, I bridge the gap between AI and non-AI members, ensuring cohesive teamwork.
