Once I understand their style, I adapt my coaching approach accordingly. I have found that leaders have a "default mode" when interacting with their team...as in during meetings or group gatherings. However, excellent leaders have the uncanny ability to customize their leadership style for each member of their team. The default style provides an anchor of consistency while being flexible deepens the relationship per team member.
