More often than not, the quick assumption is that the team is underperforming. We need to identify bottlenecks from a systems thinking perspective—why and where the delays are occurring. Setting Priorities is a must. For the time being only focusing on the most important task and then completing other tasks helps to achieve a goal. For example, the first hour of my day is the most quiet so I use that time to work on tasks that are easier to complete without distraction. Removing distractions is also a great way to improve time management. Allow team members who get distracted by pop-ups from things like Microsoft Teams and Emails to briefly close those apps, use do not disturb or adjust notifications in their computer settings.
