In my opinion the best way to resolve conflicting perspective is to navigate to a common ground where everyone feels their idea has been considered. Businesses never run on a single perspective. Book the time of the team, discuss with them, ask them why they think your idea is not strategically feasible and what would they want to change about it? Once you are completely aware and there is transparency on perspective, 70% of the problem is solved. Next step is to focus on an idea which serves the vision rather than ego. Remember one thing, someone's idea can be better and someone can improve your idea.

As leaders, we should embrace differing perspectives. Conflict isn’t a barrier; it's a bounce board for our next big leap. It is an opportunity for innovation and growth. To better navigate and mediate a productive meeting with conflicting perspectives, I would start by stating all facts and data. Then, listen!!!! After that, I would try a round-robin approach with a written variation to avoid groupthink. I would keep all dialogs open while encouraging open debates. Using the Delphi method using an outside facilitator would also be an option.

When a team is divided on the feasibility of strategic goals, Focus should be on driving alignment through structured discussion and data-driven insights. Ensure that all perspectives are heard and then refocus the team on the key business objectives. By reframing the debate around "What must be true for this to work?" and testing assumptions, we can identify realistic paths forward. Prioritization is crucial—start with the most impactful, feasible steps, and build consensus through measurable progress. This approach ensures we move forward without losing sight of the big picture.

To navigate conflicting perspectives it's crucial to blend empathy and structure. Start by listening to each side and understanding the root of the conflict. Use a data-driven approach, applying a prioritization framework identifying: 1. The purpose -> goals 2. How they’ll be achieved -> strategies A 2x2 Impact vs. Effort Matrix helps visualize which solutions offer the most value. Encourage collaboration and use the matrix to ensure efficient decision-making. ??
