Involve team members in the process of defining sustainability objectives. By engaging them in discussions about the company’s mission and how sustainability fits into it, you foster a sense of ownership and commitment. Select sustainability metrics that are straightforward and easy to understand, such as energy consumption, waste reduction, or carbon footprint. This ensures that everyone can track progress without confusion. Establish forums for open discussion, such as regular check-ins or dedicated meetings focused on sustainability. This encourages team members to voice concerns, share ideas, and ask questions without fear of judgment.

This process also clears the way to show off creativity and ability to anticipate results and consequences, in addition to unite the team around a common goal: the best choice for the company and its stakeholders. It means that everyone must present their opinions, variable factors and mobilize theoretical and practical knowledge.
