When your team is split on how to engage potential donors, it's crucial to align for the mission's sake. Here's a strategy to build consensus:
- Facilitate an open dialogue where each member can voice their concerns and ideas without judgment.
- Identify shared goals and values that everyone agrees are paramount to the organization's success.
- Propose a pilot program combining different approaches, allowing data and results to guide future strategies.
How do you bridge differences in your team to enhance donor engagement? Share your strategies.

To find common ground and move forward effectively with a divided team on engaging potential donors: 1) We should organize a meeting to discuss each perspective and understand differing views. 2) We should focus on common objectives and values that unite the team in donor engagement strategies. 3) We should review data and past experiences to identify which strategies have been most successful. 4) We should test a compromise strategy on a small scale to assess its effectiveness and gather team feedback.

It is very important for the team or whomever is engaged , to understand the context, the donor background and the donor priorities; each member can give his or her perspective on how they want to engage with the donor and provdie strong arguments; discussion will lead to more clarity; if no common grounds are found, someone need to decide and here come the role of the leader that needs to take the action and proceed with the engagement.
