Being a leader is always a tough job, I can truly understand. But being at some position means you already know the struggles of the people, so you should understand them and try to support them as much as you can. here are some pointers to be considered: 1) make your team believe in the same idea altogether. 2) let them know your motivation and suggest they follow it. 3) Be empathetic, try to understand them too.

Confident leaders can only cultivate real innovation. Hence, empowerment of individuals will be crucial to support new ideas. With the new ideas, allow the team to apply them in a safe space to build confidence. Advise privately and guide clearly with a breakdown of timely goals. When goals are achieve reward in a balanced way, ie not excessive but more to show appreciation of the progress.

Innovation thrives when structure meets autonomy. As leaders, our challenge is to provide just enough guidance to keep teams aligned without stifling their creativity. Clear objectives and deadlines offer a roadmap, ensuring everyone understands the destination. Granting the freedom to choose their paths in a culture of trust empowers team members to discover unique solutions and fosters ownership. Cultivating an environment of open communication encourages the flow of ideas and constructive dialogue. By harmonizing structure with freedom, we create a dynamic where innovation is inevitable, leading to outstanding performance and exceeding expectations.

In order to balance structure and freedom with a team, I’d focus on a framework that gives people the clarity they need without taking away their autonomy. Here’s how I’d go about it: 1. Give clear guidelines for how we work together—things like response times, project milestones, and meeting schedules—then let people adapt those guidelines to fit their style. 2. Outline what needs to get done, but give people the freedom to choose how they do it. I’ve found that when team members feel ownership, they’re more engaged. 3. Encourage experimenting with new methods or approaches if someone sees a better way to achieve goals. It’s all about continuous improvement and trusting that everyone has valuable insights to share.
