The first step is to meet with the sponsor or governance entity over your program and identify where your program goals are out of alignment with the organization. If your program has strayed, you need to reorient and revise your program to get back on track and assure your sponsor you are in compliance. If the organization has strayed and that has caused your goals to be out of alignment, either you will have to bring your program in line, or your sponsor will have to address organizational drift.

Trials are part of life and work. If the program goals do not align with the organisation's goals, it says that we are losing track of the original plans and that we need to stop to rethink why the organization was started. To avoid such situations, we must have a proper orientation + test for all the new employees about the organization. Once we are aware of our mistakes, the next thing is the willpower to do it from scratch, aligning with our goals. Working on the two major things will result in getting back on the correct trial path. For eg: my organisational goal is to counsel and provide therapy to people with mental health issues. With time, I also started teaching psychology. I can do this, but this will divert me from my goal.
