I value authentic recognition, especially in practices such as individualized notes of appreciation or acknowledgement of work done on a project. I allow my team members to take the driver’s seat, make choices, and bring me in whenever they feel the need to. I shield them from external criticism and encourage them to develop and expand their horizons. I wish they achieve their dreams and goals and make work a career and a source of satisfaction instead of just a mere job.

Hug them often / Tell them you love them / Babysit their children / Take them on extravagant holidays disguised as business trips / Buy them a Ferrari

If your engineering team feels undervalued it is time to pull out all the stops to make them feel valued. You want to start by randomly hugging the team members and telling them how valued they are. Next, use a wordprocessor to create a beautiful certificate with every team member's name on it and the statement: "Valued Team Member". Next up: Waffle party. Nothing screams "value" like being served a hot waffle, preferably with whipped cream and cherries. Finally, to really dot the i's and cross the t's: Music Dance Experience. The TV show Severance contains a powerful example of how well that works. With these powerful tips, you team will have no problem figuring out how valued they really are.

Recognize their efforts! We all get busy and focus a lot of time and energy on what is not going well. But we need to ensure we remember to appreciate the great work our teams are doing as well. It can be as simple as a personal thanks for your efforts, a call or meeting just to say thanks 1:1, as well as recognition in team and organizational meetings. Even better is providing choice assignments and or external training for the top performers - so they know their efforts are truly recognized and appreciated above the norm.

Imagine a human being without a backbone How important the backbone is for us the same way engineering is important to us the invisible hero. Normally for example I say the drain system person took that as a low grade work but imagine if that didn't work without the maintenance of plumber what was the situation then. The mindset of the normal persons is that the maintenance team is the team which always goes for expenses. But they forget if PMS is not carried then breakdown occurs. That is why every single small achievement of the engineering must be awarded with some motivation to achieve more.
