I always look at the data and outside examples of something that you can prove has worked that took a similar approach. No idea is ever completely original, so lean into deeply understanding the example's that have inspired you, and where you can provide a case for support that brings in data and analysis, you can build a coherent argument. And don't expect that to work, allow yourself to be questioned, and take the time to build robust answers to those questions. It will be a process.

If you can understand the problem and also why they/others have chosen traditional solutions, you can reverse engineer the story and walk them to your solution.

To convince a client to embrace innovation, start by acknowledging their traditional preferences and understanding their concerns. Use data and case studies to demonstrate how innovation can achieve better results and align with their goals.
