As a designer or design director, I would consider the “analytical team” the “client.” Most data-driven professionals have a design eye, and their analysis and input can be invaluable to a creative department. In most cases, the data dictate visual design. When conflict appears during visual design projects, communication and compromise should be prioritized.

As a graphic designer, I always try to prepare alternative for client, if some time, client demanding the more creativity or last minute change In design, I suggest him about the alternative. But be specific, while you're preparing alternative, you must have more detailed graphics in the alternate design.
