Take a step back and breath… - Repeat yourself in simpler terms. - Hear them out calmly. - Don’t insist on them agreeing to your opinion. (It’s totally okay to agree to disagree respectfully).

To ensure clear communication, clear, open communication is key. I would →clear up any confusion, →check if they understand, →encourage them to ask questions, →share written summaries of our talks, →listen carefully to the client’s concerns, →explain the main points in simpler words, and →set regular check-ins to stay on the same page. Hope this helps!??

In my view, being an effective trainer is not just about possessing knowledge—it's also about how we convey it. When I sense that a client has misunderstood a concept, I take the time to revisit the basics, providing examples to ensure they understand more clearly. To avoid misunderstandings, the best approach is to ask, "Did you understand?" and "Do you have any questions?" Offering a quick revision of the entire topic can further reinforce their learning and ensure clarity.

What could be done in such cases; 1. Identify the misunderstanding 2. Take responsibility 3. Clarify it 4. Check back the same understanding prevails second time 5. Ask questions to know the broader understanding 6. Understand new approaches 7. Provide additional resources 8. Follow up 9. Give sufficient time 10. Learn from expereinces Best wishes!

One thing I've found helpful is avoiding big grammar or trying to say what the client is not saying. In every coaching conversation, it is very important to remain focused on the coaching objective for the day and ensure that you do not deviate from this. Another critically important reminder for every coach is to always coach the problem and not the individual.
