The Well-Architected Framework is a set of quality-driven tenets, architectural decision points, and review tools intended to help solution owners, architect and developers build a technical foundation for their workloads. WAF can focus on Reliablity, Secuirty, Cost, Operational Excellence, Performance and sustainablity aspects for your apps/workload on cloud. There are guidances, tools, assessment which will help optimize against all the pillars while we can focus the cloud scaling and resilince aspeacts while designing the infrastructure.

It is essential that the architecture is ready to receive any amount of traffic. It is important that it is able to serve traffic when spikes occur but it is also important to scale in when traffic is reduced and comes back to a normal or below the normal situation. In order to make it work, different services participate in the architecture, including scaling, balancing and monitoring.
