We can help our clients to maintain work life balance by first finalising their concerns in order of priority. We may be advising them to keep family and self care high on this list.Then we should assign specific time slots for these areas. Also, clients will have to set feasible deadlines for their official work.Care should be taken to prevent overlapping and incursion of these time slots. Excessive use of social sites and OTT platforms should be stopped and these should be allocated a brief slot and that too as stress reliver. Above all,they should be counselled to believe that professional success at the cost of personal life and physical and emotional health is meaningless. Achieving work life balance after that will be a cakewalk.

3 simple principles in life that I have followed .- Be in the present Set clear priorities Have time for myself (to unwind ) With work , there can be no distractions . Having a purpose leads you to setting priorities, be it for family or for work Indulge in things you love to do - painting , reading , music , walks … So , there’s always a sense of fulfilment. When we feel good , we give our best everywhere

Before talking about self-care or taking breaks, maybe it’s better to start by setting clear boundaries with the team. When everyone knows each other’s “off-hours”… it helps keep work from spilling into personal time. And learning to say “NO” nicely is also important! For example, you could say, “I’m a bit full at the moment, but I can look into this once I clear my current tasks.” This way, you’re clear without sounding like you don’t want to help.
