Clients often seek external validation to avoid feelings of failure. Help them reframe mistakes and failures as opportunities for growth, shifting their mindset from needing praise to valuing personal development. How to approach it: Reframe failure: “Can you see this mistake as part of the learning process? What valuable lessons have you gained from it?” Focus on growth: “Rather than focusing on the approval of others, how can you measure your own growth from this experience?”
