1 Understand your boss's perspective

Before you approach your boss with your feedback or suggestions, try to understand their perspective and goals. What are their priorities, challenges, and expectations? How do they measure success and performance? What are their preferred communication styles and channels? Instead, ask clarifying questions, paraphrase what they said, and acknowledge their points. 6 Follow up and follow through

After you share your ideas with your boss, don't just leave it there. Follow up with them to see if they have any further questions, comments, or decisions.
