The company and its vision and goals are supported, or not, by the humans in the boardroom and whether they are conscious of them. The language and proof points used must satisfy each member of the board. If a board member cannot make a decision then determine what is missing for them - more evidence? Having worked and practiced in different organizations, I would exercise more restraint on the utility of decision-making “frameworks.” While they are undoubtedly helpful, I strongly feel they have the tendency to offer a false sense of security, as the reality in/for many organizations is different. Strategic alignment is not a static process, decision-making frameworks tend to be rigid and the challenges in organizations are often unpredictable and constantly changing. Importantly, most of the conversations about its benefits are typically through the lens of the global north, which does not align with the realities of organizations in the global south.

Individuals may overstep their boundaries if they perceive that others are not fulfilling their responsibilities or are making mistakes. Feedback is very important to improve the system in companies. Suppose if one decision is made as rule and policy but after implementing it physically some challenges are coming and it is becoming hindenrance to company work culture thaan by taking feedback and improving or revisions adding in policy is very good way for company growth and progress

Once compiled, I analyze the findings to see where the data converges, diverges and other important factors and trends. Once group planning begins, I start with identifying areas of agreement from their feedback before tackling disagreements. As you engage in the process, focusing on agreements as a point reference for investigating and analyzing the causes of disagreement can better set the stage for necessary insights and breakthrough thinking.

In my experience having worked with multiple Boards, it is important at the onset (similar to embarking on any new venture) to understand every member's priorities, experiences and beliefs as it relates to the role played by the Board. Once a rhythm has been established with regular (good governance) instituted through various Board meetings, it is common to experience conflict amongst Board members. However, this shouldn't be based on individual priorities. There needs to be a reminder to Board members on the purpose and the goals that each member serves and to put aside individual priorities, beliefs and to act in good faith for the betterment of the organization each of them represent. A reminder that Board member represent independence.

La comunicación es parte fundamental para la alienación de acciones hacia los objetivos. En mi experiencia hay 3 premisas para que suceda: 1. La comunicación debe servir para resolver conflictos, no para crearlos. Cuando no es así es porque la conversación está enfocada a otro tipo de situaciones y no a la de resolver un problema en común. 2. La mayoría de las veces en la comunicación es más importante escuchar que hablar. Hay que defender con argumentos racionales las ideas y no con emociones los puntos de vista personales. 3. Una comunicación clara no deja espacio a interpretaciones. Desarrollar habilidades de comunicación estructurada y asertiva es fundamental. Validar que nuestra idea es transmitida con claridad logra acuerdos.
