You want to improve your employees’ skills. How can you find the right e-learning resources?

This has to be AI generated ... it just 'parrots' what it finds ... 8-) This is how you 'program' people ... this is not how you make passionate & talented people learn. For that, the question should be: "How do you challenge passionate & talented people to excel?" ... maybe they don't even use e-learning resources with objectives ... euh ... I don't ... 8-)

Be clear about what your goals are. Start by considering... What problem are you trying to overcome? What challenge are you facing? How do you hope that online training will help you and your employees overcome this? What skills or competencies will they leave with, enabling them to do so? If you could zoom 6-months into the future, what would make you say "fab - I'm pleased we did that training"? What would that future look like? What would have changed? How would you measure that change? What metrics will you keep track of and how will you track them? Being clear about learning goals and outcomes is a key first step to be sure that you are able to meet them with whichever e-learning provider you go with.

I am not a e-Learning expert by any means, but in as far as my part goes, I contribute my voice and how I deliver that e-Learning to the intended audience. I will say that lately there has been a push to adopt AI for e-Learning, however most companies who use e-Learning find out that AI doesn't cover the nuances of true human monologue. Mistakes in AI generated content can be easily detected and thus the whole content is rendered useless. Its the same as noting an typo in a sentance (See what I mean. I hope you caught that). Now, I'm not completely bashing AI, rather noting that if any e-Learning content creator wants to effectively capture the audience and have them trust that content, they will opt for human delivery.

Bueno aquí tenemos diferentes formas de verificar si el progreso de los estudiantes es positivo, desde mi punto de vista esto se debe ver en dos vías, (Avance del estudiante y su retroalimentación de sobre la calidad del curso) el trabajo se realiza al momento de construir la formación con diferentes modelos instruccionales como por ejemplo ADDIE, donde realizas una constante mejora circular del curso por medio del progreso y retroalimentación del curso de los estudiantes, si vamos directamente a las herramientas, efectivamente podemos usar herramientas como por ejemplo encuestas anónimas para que los estudiantes se expresen con mas libertad, o realizar evaluaciones de tipo formativas, donde nos dará un vistazo del progreso del estudiante

It's important to note that a course is a course. It's knowledge, information, and some skill building within a structure. It's not going to build all the practical skills someone needs to perform the job and may not build many practical skills depending on the job. It's important to first understand the performance outcomes of the job and how they are measured before you start addressing skills. Once you define the skills, when should they be taught? Some are foundational and needed before the person begins working, some are better served as part of the individual's capability development timeline.

I also think it's important to remember - that training people to regurgitate facts and repeat information is not setting them up for long-term success. Facts are quickly outdated. Training should equip them with the rules of thumbs, the ways of thinking, the right questions to ask - so that they can problem solve for the future. Focusing on outcomes and goals rather than merely a list of 'content to be covered' is key for setting any organisation up for success with their e-learning plans.

While I am not a proponent of learning styles. You should recognize that some learners may prefer to watch videos, interactive simulations, or written content. Ideally, you should seek out platforms that can have various means of content delivery.

Improving skills is an ongoing and everlasting process, and we must proceed from this perspective. The first thing we have to do is change the organization's learning culture. Otherwise, nobody is going to last this long-term E-Learning project. Learning must be an everyday habit, the same way kids do. Staring by wondering what to do in an ever-changing world: ??
