Based on my experience in the IT industry, Adopting a pre-built Learning Management System (LMS) was the key to success rather than creating a customized one from scratch. Grant organizations to emphasize on-the-job training based on specific needs and priorities, while allowing employees the freedom to delve into other topics.

My answers below would depict my views than of my employer's. 1. Scale to handle a huge number of employees and thousands of learning content. 2. Ability to work globally, and serve customers with the least downtime. 3. Be very flexible in terms of content and be able to manage ad-hoc requests. 4. Ensure the privacy of org/employee is maintained as per agreements 5. Have an excellent and clutter-free UI for the end users. 6. Is able to implement machine learning to understand the learning interests of individual, Business Units and organizational levels and/or suggest content/directions to the L&D teams.

Outline company's all learning and training requirements and based on that customize choosen LMS tool. Ensure that all users types-different role like Talent Development Admin/HR,Manager,Employee etc., they test it before go-live. It should support integration with HCM/WFM product for skill and competency profile as it helps in better staffing and scheduling.

With what I have learned so far, an LMS system has to seamlessly integrate with internal Data lakes and organizational structure and serve its best interests. It should be able to be easy to migrate content from older/legacy systems to a cloud-based system. With AI and ML, the task should preferably be automated, with adequate human oversight. During the implementation process, it is suggested we follow agile methodologies. Preferably, ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate)

I would think of instructional design courses , Intelligent Agents and if we can engage LMS with AI solutions. LMS must have portfolios, any learners , participant can upload the work evidences and those portfolios can be connected with Employment oppourtunities.

Continuous feedback for all courses, especially from employees help to imporve content as well curation. Feedback/survey can be part of every course, to get maximum response. Use of learning community for collaboration and connecting learner is most useful and engaging feature. Rather than one community, company can create various communities based on skill and specialization. Frequent updation on navaigation should be avoided.

Greeting everyone, Learning Management Systems (LMS) are indeed an excellent platform for self-learning and skill development tracking. However, classroom or instructor-led training is still irreplaceable. It provides learners the opportunity to clarify any confusion and gain a deeper understanding of specific topics. When a group of learners convenes in a classroom, it encourages questions and discussions that can lead to new insights and perspectives. I would highly recommend following up with an instructor-led or virtual classroom session with a minimum number of participants to ensure effective knowledge transfer and to meet the training objectives.
