Some ways to get started with personalized learning goals is to 1. Understand the student's educational needs, age, background educational experience, and assess the student's strengths and weaknesses/ learning challenges/ special learning needs if any. 2. Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-based) goals. Map learning modalities keeping in mind student's interests. 3. Track and assess progress, keep students motivated, and celebrate milestones. Give feedback and help your students to reflect on their assignments. Share curated resources and study tips. 4. Revise the plan as necessary. Meet periodically one on one if possible. Use digital tools to track progress. Last but not the least 5. Hold yourself accountable!

I believe personalising the experience of learning can relate the following to the learners as well: - To what extent they can intervene in the session and feel they have the freedom to stir the gear at certain procedures. - If the can vote to choose the setting of the session (In class - outdoors in the garden). Same can be for the teacher providing them some suggested topics and they can vote for one, as a result the teacher can design the session accordingly.

I look forward to have my students equipped with life skills which is only learnt through literature hence I encourage all to take up literature as an optional course during their study program

3 things that do not sound like Rocket Science, but are tough to consistently do well. 1. Know your learners. Good relationships are essential. Do all you can to know hopes, dreams and aspirations... and the support learners have from home. 2. A personalised learning programme needs to be responsive to hard data. What can the learner already do? How do you know? How do you enquire into the 'what now?' and 'what next?' for each learner. A process or enquiry cycle is essential to know progress is being made and, if not, what you might adjust to help progress to be made. 3. Work with each learner to answer these three questions: - where am I? - where am I going? - what is my next step?

If children cannot learn the way we teach, we should teach the way they learn. Preference assessments and learning style assessments should be given periodically throughout the year along with intentional observance of a child’s strengths and weaknesses.

As every educator knows, it is important to know your students (it is pretty much a cliche now). However, what many educators fail to account for are the learning affordances available to their learners outside of the classroom. If you truly want to personalize the learning experience for your students, think outside the confines of your classroom and consider how you can guide and mentor your students to engage with the learning affordances that are unique to them. Make sure to set up regular times to check in with each learner, providing feedback and additional mentoring and coaching if needed. Only by considering what happens inside and outside of the classroom can we truly provide personalized learning experiences.

Adaptive Learning Platforms tailor learning paths based on students' strengths and weaknesses, enhancing comprehension. 2. I believe exams are vital for instruction. My innovative approach to final exams in engineering education reduces stress and improves outcomes. During a 2-hour exam, 38 students received 3 different question sets. Surprisingly, a 5-minute break allowed relaxation and peer consultation, reducing anxiety. Grades remained consistent. Interviews later showed positive feedback, with excitement and reduced stress. This approach discourages cheating and creates a positive exam experience. Further exploration of innovative methods to alleviate exam burdens is suggested, benefiting students globally and advancing alternative assessment in higher education.

One thing that I have found useful is to personalise your questioning and also offer synonyms that are accessible to the learning whilst explaining/questioning/discussing. One must also be mindful of jargon and language which can have more than one meaning as this can lead to misunderstanding and confusion.

Technology provides a helping hand by doing it. For example, While reading a Kindle book you can simply press on any word & it opens a dictionary page giving you the exact meaning & usage of the word. You save a lot of time which otherwise was spent on locating the word physically in the dictionary. This increases the speed of reading & improves understanding drastically. However, students also love a human touch in learning rather than depending solely on technology. Hence, great learning process is 'High Tech' & 'High Touch'

When using technology in the primary learning environment (PYP) you need to remember two important things: How can you communicate (to students and parents) that the technology is a tool to enhance the learning / knowledge? How can the students demonstrate their understanding that the technology is a tool to enrich their learning?

The output model is equally important. Consider multiple intelligences in this light.
