One of the best ways to connect with your audience is via story telling. The key is to make the story resonate with them. It can be about the pain points or any appropriate theme which evokes emotions & make them to take the desired action. Good stories can make the brand stand out and demonstrate the USP in a firm manner.

I realised the power of storytelling after doing so much marketing on LinkedIn as well as reading many stories of others. People don't remember a brand or product you are selling but remember the story that touch them, excites them, made them laugh or provoke them. It's like those famous long form Thai videos that trigger emotions of people watching them. Telling the story and hooking till the end for the finale. That's one of the best use of storytelling. Consistency is key. Who wants to know more of a brand that keeps flip-flop in their stories. Sometimes I think so is because internal changes of people and strategies as want to have quick wins. Building a brand takes time and driving the identity and message is much harder now with so much noise. Thus, leveraging on employees to be storytellers or even key people to the brand can work wonders. Recently heard from GoTyme CMO who did this as a fintech scaling up. Their employees love their brand so much, willing to wear their swags even on weekends! It's authentic as they love working in a company they believe in and proudly share it. In marketing, audience indifference is the enemy. When your audience "connects your with your marketing" it means you've stirred their emotions in some way. And there are lots of ways to do this. Too many to really get into in 750 characters. But in order for it to happen, your marketing must be striking (since it must stand out from the crowd), which means it can't be ordinary or bland. And it has to offer something the audience values (humor, beauty, fun, comfort, validation). That's how connection is made.
