Yo primero pensaria en un software gratuito y eficiente. Luego, que este software me permita presentar los registros bibliograficos, en el formato que los classifico y catalogo. Si uso RDA que me presente y ofresca la presentacion corrrecta en RDA o cualquier otro formato. El tercer requisito, que me permita actuar en red. Cuando digo en red, es que me permita compartir mis registros (sobre todo los de autoridades) con todas las otras bibliotecas afiliadas o no (al final lo que importan son los usuarios) y al mismo tiempo me permita bajar los registros en RDA a mis registros locales. El resto creo que es mas cosmetico.

If your vendor charges you for every cool feature that your staff/patron will want then you’ve got the wrong vendor. When purchasing an ILS the bells and whistles should not cost extra. Depending on type and size of library there maybe entire parts of the product you will never use, I’m thinking of small libraries and acquisitions software. However everyone wants a spell checker in the PAC. Every library will need the ability to import and export records. The basic features of a library’s ILS should be included in the price. I do not expect my new car to come with a full tank nor would I expect the ILS price to include the electricity used to charge the computers but I do expect my new car to have working brakes

I completely agree but I assume if we could have some “book suggestion” section it would make the platform completely different For example if a student or client is constantly borrowing anatomy related books the platform can suggest more resources that could be helpful and useful for the individual

When we generate reports we get two inventories from the same branch and we are not able to merge or consolidate them.
