You should prefer CSPs with commitment to security and also the CSPs which have geographically dispersed data centres worldwide as they can ensure better availability both in case of primary data centre down due to security issues as well as other disasters.

The cloud providers are securing their data in multiple Datacenters. Even in case of disaster they securing the data in a fine grained protocol. Some top cloud tech giants storing their data under water / ocean to have a multiple replica copies incase of disaster or unlikely events

I will put it that cloud security is a shared responsibility. While CSPs are responsible for the security of the cloud infrastructure, users are responsible for securing their data & configurations within the cloud environment. Hence, i will add to this point that the CSPs also need to train their employees well so as to ensure that they dont expose cloud to threats and user organisations also need to train their teams as to how can they exploit clod services without compromising the security aspects. As a user have strong encryption, strong authentication, access control, & go for secure configuration. So always remember cloud security is shared responsibility & user cant put everything on CSP so understand your responsibility.
