2 Choose the right time and place

Timing and setting are crucial for effective feedback. Don't give feedback when you or your colleague are stressed, tired, or distracted. Instead, find a time and place that is suitable for both of you, where you can have a calm and respectful conversation. Ask your colleague if they are open to feedback, and if they prefer to receive it in person, over the phone, or via email. As part of the leadership team or as a team leader, I think you need to provide feedback to help your team grow. With this in mind, you should maintain open communication and support your team in obtaining feedback. Then it's not a question of the right time and place, because you and your team will find a gap for it. Just go for it! Feedback doesn't hurt ;-)

3 Use the sandwich method

A common technique for giving feedback is the sandwich method, which consists of three steps: praise, critique, and encouragement. First, start by highlighting something positive about your colleague's work, such as a creative idea, a technical skill, or a good result.
