In my Opinion: 1. Consider the feedback received: Look at your performance review to see what areas you really shine at. 2. Determine skills: Identify the hard and soft abilities that help you succeed in research and development. 3.Make use of your advantages: Make the most of your recognized abilities to improve your output and involvement. 4. Display your skills: To prove your worth as an R&D specialist, emphasize your abilities to supervisors, associates, and clients.

In my experience, Work reviews are a great way to reflect on personal performance and goals, to chalk out the upcoming goals and to plan a trajectory. Making a list of strengths and reviewing the same with the higher ups let's one identify the level of expertise. Making a best to least skilled list will not only help identify the niche but will also guide to the next step in upskilling.

Lo que más te va a ayudar es la madurez, tanto para encajar las críticas como para procesar los éxitos, sin llegar a que se dispare el ego y dormirse en los laureles. También conviene considerar que la evaluación pueda estar sesgada por circunstancias particulares de alguno de los evaluadores, si son pocos, por lo que es recomendable contrastarlo si alguno de los resultados resulta muy chocante. Diga lo que diga la evaluación, sea más o menos acertado, la actitud serena de autocrítica con una autoestima sana es la que te va a permitir aprender del proceso y sacar las mejores conclusiones.

Es una gran labor que debemos realizar las personas, sobre todo porque es más sencillo encontrar las áreas de oportunidad que las fortalezas. Es una gran muestra de un proceso de madurez el poder conocer aquellas habilidades que podemos explotar para ponerlas al servicio de los demás. Para ello siempre es bueno hacer constantemente ejercicios de autoinstrospección para escuchar esa voz interna que nos guía para poder descubrir esas fortalezas. Consultar con alguien más es una buena práctica para evitar ceguera de taller y como una muestra más de apertura. Aquí es bueno hacerlo con personas cercanas, ya sea familiares, amigos y compa?eros de trabajo. Una vez identificándolas, ver la forma en la cual podemos parovecharlas mejor.

When looking at your weaknesses you have to first ask yourself the question "Is this a weakness because I lack a capability that I need/want, or is it because what I am doing does not align with my passions and interest?" The old adage was to improve on your weaknesses, but lessons from start-up culture show us that in fact sometimes it is best to lean into what you are good at doing. Case in point: I was focused for years as a fundamental researcher in the social sciences, but I was stronger at building teams around ideas than I was at generating the ideas. By focusing on the latter - through being a recruiter at the moment - I have found myself in a better position to advance my career than before.

In my opinion, I guess if you get to know the details of your performance review, it tells you what you're good at and where you can improve. If you're good at something, keep doing it well. If there's something you're not so good at, try to get better by practicing or asking for help. With this, you can make your R&D work even better.

First, ask yourself how familiar the reviewer(s) is/are familiar with your work. Then ask yourself if, objectively, the review is valid or missing the focus or extent of your productivity. All good reviews should identify problems and offer opportunities for improvement. You should know your skill sets and be open to improving them or learning new ones. Part of the review should identify missing or weak skill sets for that particular job. With an unfavorable review the options are to bring your performance up to standards, or seek a different position where your skill sets better meet the job requirements. Discussions with the reviewer(s) should help clarify your better choice.

It’s good to understand your strengths but at the same time it’s important to address your weaknesses and work on it and take opinion of my seniors .one must learn not to react on any negative feedback.

Before we go for an R&D project few things should be clear: 1. Problem statement 2. Innovate( possible solutions) 3. PoC (retry to innovate if problem comes up) 4. Analyze finding and provide results. There is no limit to which part you should give more time, but limit time because you don't want to stay on one point for too long.

Just as you cannot expect to be in great shape after one week of training, you cannot develop yourself in the last week of the year. The secret is to break down the goals or actions to very small increments and track weekly. For example: week1: research a book to read week2: order the book week3: summarize chapter 1 ... week20: present the learnings to the team

I totally agree with planning of actions when conducting a thorough research work. To get quality output from the research findings this is must have quality of any researcher.

For R&D, planning is critical. Delivery of new equipment is special as without the required parts everything stops. There are no tools to help you with R&D because certain parts are unique. Always remember what ever you are working on must ensure quality, quantity and efficiency.

Performance evaluations are nothing more than an HR excuse to justify a paycheck and the middle management excuse to use in a way they see fit. Your coworkers and immediate supervisor know if you are doing well or not.

All activities should be based on an approved business plan where the R&D section is an integral part of it. The R&D project leader should find the right people / skills to deliver the right product /service. These deliverables are part of the annual R&D objectives translated in main actions. Annual reviews are always clear and objective.
