Actualmente es muy común tener un menú alterno o comunicar los alérgenos presentes en los alimentos. Tener alternativas se vuelve muy importante ya que cada vez es más frecuente tener consumidores con restricciones alimentarias.

I always planned for 10% dietary restrictions, but it’s great to have any information ahead of time. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are part of every catering event in the past 10-15 years, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to any Chef.
-
1. Immediate Communication: Quickly inform the caterer about the dietary restriction, such as a guest becoming vegan last-minute. 2. Alternative Options: Request vegetarian or gluten-free dishes, like a quinoa salad. 3. Written Confirmation: Follow up with an email to confirm changes. 4. Flexibility: Be open to substitutions, such as replacing pasta with zucchini noodles. 5. Plan Ahead: Consider dietary needs in future events to minimize last-minute adjustments.

As a caterer we always face such challenges and as a true professional we do oblige and accommodate special specific guests needs. We are able to provide any specific dietary requirements based on our existing banquet menu. We only request our hosts to help us with some time like 1 hour to make the necessary changes. However if we are able to accomplish the request earlier it’s better for the guests and for us too.

Utilize what you already have on hand to create a substitute dish. If you don't have anything on hand, sometimes going the extra mile to grab something from the store can go a long way too.
