If a company has a revenue of USD 200mn+ it is reasonable to use SAP, preferably S/4HANA, as it has some additional "hidden" accounting features in comparison to previous SAP version. On condition corporate revenue is below USD 200 mn a company can use even open-source enterprise edition solutions (it doesn't mean that it's for free) - anyway there are too many "ifs" to recommend a definite software.

For a small business I recomend Zoho book or quickbooks and if the process is complicated can go for a bespoke developed product . Also if they need standardisation then better to go for a ERP module like SAP or similar . But it is for large scale business. Further you have to customize these according to industry and specific requirements.

I would also include two additional factors: On Premise or Cloud Solution - On Premisse allows more flexibility and customizations but on the other hand much more effort to be updated, while Cloud provide a more standardized solution with lower possibilities to customizations but much easier to maintain updated and rolled out. And Localization requirements, as legal government requirements may reduce a lot of solution provided for an specific geography.
