When I introduce myself, I try to keep it natural and not overthink it. Instead of making it sound rehearsed, I focus on being present. These industry leaders are just people. I’ve had moments where I worried I wasn’t "qualified" enough to speak with them, but then I realized—they don’t expect perfection. They value curiosity, thoughtful conversation, and authenticity. So, if I feel nervous, I shift my mindset from “I have to impress them” to “I want to learn from them.” That small shift makes a huge difference.
