To construct a good building you need to collaborate between all these disciplines and coordinate the drawings and designs well. Coordination and collaboration is an ongoing process that needs all parties to have a collaborative mind set and take advantage of new technologies and approaches.

Therefore the minute you have drawings to work by, recreating them in a model saves millions of precious seconds in the field. Double check shapes and existing roads, drains water features. This has the added benefit of getting multiple design perspectives and may yield efficiency in the design at the interface.
