Which video editing software offers the most efficient workflow for collaborative projects?

I probably can't tell you which has the best integration,?but?I know Frame.io works very well with Premiere and the Adobe suite?as a whole. I didn't?really?think it would work as seamlessly as it did the first time I tried it, but it was like they were in the next room. Granted, this will usually lend itself to bigger teams and bigger projects so the customer gives us everything we need to get the work done efficiently, but still. Cloud integration is as close as you can get to in-person collaboration.

In my experience Adobe Premiere Pro is most efficient when it comes to working with collaborative projects due to 3 reasons. - All data being synced in the Adobe Creative Cloud - Easy methods to share project files - Many editors using it.

Adobe Premiere has known and documented issues with Avid FS (example: multi stream 4k footage will shudder;even if at 10Gbe connections to the storage. -Lucid Link storage gives an advantage to Adobe Suite for usability, especially in smaller format adverting, though without over complicated third softwares, it’s unusable for Avid environments.

Frankly, when discussing collaborative editing workflows in The Cloud, it's a race between Adobe with Frame.io and Blackmagic's cloud platform. Camera-to-cloud and globally distributed editing workflows are becoming increasingly important to mid and lower-tier productions, and Blackmagic, Apple, Adobe, Atomos, et al. are rapidly developing tools to make this way of working as ubiquitous as single-operator desktop editing is today.

Premiere and the rest of the Adobe products are tried and true, but there are other softwares that add sharper edges or newer solutions to problems. I’d say it all depends on the creative and the demands of the project. It’s always been a game of mastering as much as you can to offer whatever is needed.
