If you find yourself caught in the midst of a storm, it's important to step back rather than getting lost in it. Take a break, reflect on your weaknesses, and don't hesitate to seek assistance. Sometimes, the solution to your challenges might not be purely technical; you might discover overlooked aspects that hold the key to overcoming your obstacles. Additionally, avoid wasting time in isolation or resorting to complex workarounds.

Whenever I come acros something that I cannot seem to get solve or get working as it should, I leave it be for a while (as long as that is possible ofcourse) and new ways to tackle it pop in my head while doing other things. If it is something that needs my full attention continously untill it is solved, I will take a step back and try to get an overview of whats going on and write out the problem or task at hand in a global way to be able to find new solutions.

Not specifically; the idea is that if given a library or tool you will make good use of it and not waste time re-inventing the wheel. Sometimes it is about the specific tool, you should infer this from the "Know the rules". The job description for example may call out a tool, if so, make sure you can use it well before/during the interview.

Then I start applying test cases, happy test cases and corner/edge cases, which are worth spending about 10-20% of your time writing them. But sometimes I don't have time to write all corner cases (large input for example), which I don't have to cover, as long as I know time and memory complexity of my solution.
