You can share your best practices, your dos and don'ts, and your personal stories. You can also demonstrate how you prepare, rehearse, and perform as an emcee. It has been my experience that it is best to determine if acting as an emcee is a short-term or long-term endeavor. If long-term challenge, the novice emcee to spend time observing as many other emcees styles as possible so they can learn to add more to techniques to their delivery.

What's even better than teaching a novice emcee? Have your emcee "mentee" shadow you at an event. They can see first hand how you interact with an audience, how you keep the spotlight on the sponsoring org, and how you weave the event theme into your comments. Allow time for your MC associate to ask questions after. ?? Why did you open the program that way? ?? How did you keep the meeting running so smoothly? ?? What were you thinking when the President made those comments before you introduced the next speaker? Don't just Tell your protege what to do/say. Invite your mentee to see you work in-person!
